Powerwave Technologies To Supply Multi-Carrier Amplifiers To Lucent Technologies
IRVINE, Calif. - Mar. 20, 2001 -
Powerwave Technologies, Inc. (NASDAQ:PWAV) today announced that it has
entered into a purchasing agreement with Lucent Technologies under which
Powerwave will supply Lucent with high-powered multi-carrier RF power
amplifiers (MCPA) for use in Lucent's cellular band wireless base
stations.
The high-powered multi-carrier RF power amplifiers to be supplied by
Powerwave are designed to support various cellular band protocols and
are compatible with Lucent's AutoPLEXâ Series II and FlexentÔ TDMA
ONEBTSÔ wireless network architecture. This three-year agreement covers
the delivery of products beginning in the second calendar quarter of
2001. Terms of the agreement were not disclosed.
