Powerwave Technologies Announces Board Of Directors Changes

SANTA ANA, Calif. - Nov. 01, 2007 - Powerwave Technologies, Inc. (NASDAQ:PWAV) announced today that it’s Executive Chairman of the Board, Bruce C. Edwards, has decided to retire from the company effective immediately. Mr. Edwards, who has been Executive Chairman since February 2005, was President and Chief Executive Officer of Powerwave from February 1996 to February 2005. The company also announced that the Board of Directors has bestowed upon Mr. Edwards the honorary title of Executive Chairman Emeritus of Powerwave. The Board of Directors has also elected Carl W. Neun as non-executive Chairman of the Board of Powerwave.

“The Board and employees of Powerwave want to express their deep appreciation to Bruce for his many years of service to Powerwave and his invaluable contribution in helping Powerwave become one of the leaders in the wireless infrastructure industry,” stated Carl W. Neun, Chairman of the Board of Powerwave Technologies.

“The management and employees of Powerwave will certainly miss Bruce’s knowledge and guidance and we wish him all the best in his retirement,” stated Ronald J. Buschur, President and Chief Executive Officer of Powerwave Technologies.

The company noted that Mr. Neun has been a member of Powerwave’s Board of Directors since February 2000, and also serves on the Board of Directors of Planar Systems, Inc. and RadiSys Corporation.
