Powerwave Previews New Products for Next-generation Network Excellence

Powerwave will be introducing a wide range of new solutions at CommunicAsia 2010. These include:

• Netway™ Vision remote site management solution for 3GPP LTE (Long Term Evolution), a complete operations and management (OAM) solution that enables operators to maximize return on investment of LTE wireless infrastructure by enabling network discovery, diagnosis and resolution from a centralized software interface in combination with network-aware hardware.

• The DAS and WiFi Performance Boost™ solution, which reduces loads on traditional cellular networks by offloading data onto WiFi networks within the specified coverage zone, providing additional capacity when existing spectrum is fully utilized.

• The Walk-in MicroFlex™ cabinet, a multi-purpose cell site enclosure that provides network operators and technicians with a flexible, weather proof, secure and compact housing solution for wireless infrastructure and other equipment with requisite accessibility for ease of maintenance.

“These new offerings build on our portfolio of proven infrastructure products, helping make the business of wireless more cost-effective, efficient, sustainable and aesthetically pleasing,” said Khurram P. Sheikh, chief product and development officer, Powerwave Technologies, Inc. “Our continuous innovation results in products that are smaller, smarter and incredibly flexible, enabling operators and OEMs to build robust wireless networks that better blend across urban and rural environments.”

In existence since 1979, last year the CommunicAsia conference and exhibition drew more than 37,000 show attendees from 10 countries. For more information on the event, please visit: www.communicasia.com.
