Powerwave Receives 2009 4GWE Product of the Year Award 4G WiMAX and LTE Radio Head Honored for Outstanding Innovation

SANTA ANA, Calif. - Jan. 25, 2010 - Powerwave Technologies, Inc. (NASDAQ:PWAV), a global leader in end-to-end wireless coverage and capacity solutions, today announced it has won a 2009 4GWE Product of the Year Award for its WiMAX and LTE Remote Radio Head - a key component in powering next-generation advanced wireless networks based on 4G technologies.

The first annual "4GWE Product of the Year" awards, sponsored by Technology Marketing Corporation (TMC) and Crossfire Media, honor those companies that demonstrate vision, leadership and thoroughness by recognizing the most innovative new products brought to market in 2009.
