The OS-1 platform has a modular architecture that provides operators with a complete uplink and downlink enhancement solution. The OS-1 utilizes Powerwave's high efficiency Feed Forward Multi-Carrier Power Amplifier, making it a versatile capacity and coverage solution for UMTS micro and macro-cell sites. The universal mounting design supports indoor, ground and rooftop applications. A fail-safe mechanism enables base stations to continue operation in case the OS-1 shuts down. The OS-1 system also provides 12VDC voltage to power the tower-mounted amplifiers (TMAs).
