Training Locations Courses are conducted at the customer's site so we can better address actual site configurations but we can conduct training classes either at the Technical Training Center in Santa Ana, CA, or Coppell, TX. We can also conduct training on Powerwave's What's Next! Truck that travels throughout the United States.
Available Courses
Distributed Antenna Systems (DAS)
This comprehensive course covers the installation, configuration, commissioning, maintenance and troubleshooting of a Powerwave DAS. Students learn the difference between passive and active system, DAS components, site survey, basic installation and commissioning, and the use of the OM-Online (OMO) commissioning tool.
NetWay Manager (NWM) Network Monitoring Software
This course is tailored to meet the needs of each customer and covers the installation, configuration and troubleshooting of NetWay Manager and how it monitors your network.
Remote Electrical Tilt (RET)
This course prepares students to install, configure, commission, and maintain the Powerwave RET Antenna System and its components. It includes a live demonstration of the RET System with initial set up and software configuration. The student will be provided with all the necessary information to properly plan an antenna installation including: RET antenna theory, system configurations, system components, system installation, initial start-up, software configuration and calibration, and tilt adjustments.
Tower Mounted Amplifiers (TMA) / Filters
This course provides training on how to plan and optimize the use of Powerwave Tower Mounted Amplifiers and Filters. The student is provided with all the necessary information to properly install the units including: product overview, antenna theory and technology theory, effects on the BTS, system integration, and troubleshooting.
Powerwave Amplifier Frames (PAFs) / Multi Carrier Power Amplifiers (MCPAs)
This course provides an overview of the PAF/MCPA systems to inform decision makers and engineers on what product configuration(s) will meet their needs.
Outdoor Shelter (OS) Certification Training
This certification provides the General Contractor, Systems Integrator and customers who will be installing and maintaining Powerwave OS products with the detailed training and hands-on experience required to install, commission, operate, maintain and troubleshoot the Powerwave OS product line.
BSS Certification Training
This certification provides the General Contractor, Systems Integrator and customers who will be installing and maintaining Powerwave PAF/MCPA products with the detailed training and hands-on experience required to install, commission, operate, maintain and troubleshoot the Powerwave PAF/MCPA product line.
