The NetWay 7000 series (MCU) controls, supervises and provides DC power to the Remote Electrical Tilt (RET) system via a common bus. Electrical tilting of antennas and setting of Tower Mounted Amplifier gain can be performed from a remote location such as the Network Operating Center (NOC) using web or SNMP interface. Local management at the base station is also possible by connecting a computer directly to the MCU.

The NetWay 7000 series (MCU) can be accessed from the Network Operating Center via site LAN, Web, text terminal or Telnet client. At the NOC, the NetWay 7000 series is seen as a web server or an SNMP agent depending on which management application you use and is fully compatible with the generic Powerwave network management platform NetWay Vision for advanced network management with features such as fleet software download.
